Welcome to BAF 2011 – Who wants to play?
Every August the peaceful town of Bakewell in the Peak District is woken up by 10 days of concerts, theatre, poetry, street performance, art exhibitions, live music, unique events and much, much more during Bakewell Arts Festival. This year, the BAF wake-up call promises to be louder than ever as young people from the region and beyond present a programme to ensure the most eclectic and exciting ten days of the summer.
BIG BAF (PICNIC) PARTY - THE BIG BEND, BAKEWELL, SUNDAY 14 AUGUST, 5PM
After a rich week, we are today striking sets, clearing up and generally preparing to hand the town back to its (other) rightful owners. All welcome to join us at around 5pm at the Big Bend (the Tent if the weather turns) for the Big BAF Picnic Party to say an informal Bye Bye BAF 2011 - techies, chair-carriers, stars-of-shows, sponsors, audiences - for everyone who has been a part of the Festival or who has wished us well. Bring your own picnic/drinks.
